Michael Tortorich sums up the podcast in the My Uncle Vinnie Blog Wrap Up:

Have you hit the wall with losing weight? Vinnie and Anna kick off this podcast talking about the ebb and flow of changing lifestyle. They even talk about my battle of the pudge. I lost a few pounds really fast, but it started to slow down as I reached my target weight. Vinnie talks about the evolutionary reasoning behind why our bodies want to hang on to extra weight for rainy days. Later, they talk about the Race Across America with Kacie Darden and Dani Grabol.

Angriest Trainer 109: The Sinastr Interview

by Vinnie Tortorich

Mar252013

Vinnie and Anna interview the genius behind Sinastr, whose name we cannot reveal (because we don’t know it).

Michael Tortorich sums up the podcast in the My Uncle Vinnie Blog Wrap Up:

Vinnie leads off this episode talking about his epic day off. Later, Vinnie sets the record straight about his Oprah appearance. He agreed to participate in the “Where are they now” piece if they allowed him to mention this podcast and his book. Apparently, there was some sort of oversight, and all mention of the book and show ended up cut. I hope you’re sitting down…Vinnie gets quite angry over the whole deal. He calls out the usual suspects when it comes to ratings grabs, like Octomom and Dennis Rodman. Vinnie then mentions his involvement with The Tom Chenault Show. Later, they get Sinastr on the phone for a chat. Like Vinnie, Sinastr is also from Louisiana. Turns out, Sinastr saw himself in an unflattering light in a sex tape, and decided to make a change with his health. Weighing in at 270 pounds, he dropped all the way to 200. “You know how hard it is to lose one pound in southern Louisiana?” Vinnie asks. Why did Sinastr trust Vinnie? He didn’t have anything to sell.

Minnie Driver

Vinnie and Anna welcome Minnie Driver and Andrea Anders in the studio. Special guest appearances from Loren Tarquinio and Izzy the Italian Greyhound.

Michael Tortorich sums up the podcast in the My Uncle Vinnie Blog Wrap Up:

British actress and singer-songwriter Minnie Driver is in the studio for the first time, along with returning guest Andrea Anders. Minnie is probably best-known for her role in Good Will Hunting, a film she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. She also won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe for her part in the television series The Riches. The conversation flows to Minnie’s dating history, three balls, and Southern Comfort. Later in the podcast, they talk about Dr. Oz’s diet tips. Stick around until the end because Minnie plays out the show on guitar with a nice serenade.

Angriest Trainer 105: Thyroid Issues and Unfunny Polish Jokes

by Vinnie Tortorich

Mar152013

Vinnie and Anna address thyroid issues, diabetes, Hashimoto’s, and endocrinologists.  A quick interview with marketing expert and blogger Kimberly Bondi Grabinski devolves.

Michael Tortorich sums up the podcast in the My Uncle Vinnie Blog Wrap Up:

In this episode, Vinnie shares our idea of the common Starbucks beverage. It’s not just about coffee, it’s like drinking ice cream. He references a doctor he’s brought up several times before on the podcast, Dr. Robert Lustig, the author of Fat Chance: Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease. Vinnie and Anna then talk about diets. “You should never go hungry,” Vinnie says. “If you are going hungry, you’re doing something wrong.” Later they talk to Kimberly Bondi Grabinski who has helped get the Vinnie Tortorich Facebook page updated.
