    • New Culture declared its own ingredient safe under a legal pathway called self-affirmed as generally recognized as safe, and never needed a decision from the agency.
  • Getting rid of cattle is a bad idea since they are ruminants and they keep soil healthy. (36:00)
  • Anna reads an article that states artificial sweeteners are linked to a much higher risk of heart attack, stroke, or death. (40:15)
    • Xylitol, often used in gums, toothpaste, and more, may lead to an increase in cardiac risk.

    • The likelihood that it actually does anything is slim to none.
    • Trying to add extra hydrogen molecules doesn’t seem likely to do anything.
    • In addition, sometimes solvents are added to water to make it more alkaline.
