BUGRA’S STORY
- From Turkey, now residing in Arizona
- 6’1, has lost around 150 lbs since starting NSNG
- Only 26, pursuing his PhD
HOW CAN ONE START A CAREER IN THE WEIGHT LOSS BUSINESS?
- Bugra wants to help other people lose weight
- He has the degrees to do it
- Vinnie thinks that this is a hard thing
- If Bugra were to take classes to become a dietician, he would be taught to tell people that whole grains are good, etc.
- If you are to get involved, start with something physiological to understand how the body works
- Online dietician classes are not the move — those certificates are worthless
- Get a real degree
- This is not the business to make money in
- Vinnie got lucky and worked incredibly hard
- “You become an overnight success by spending 30 years in this business”
- Vinnie suggests for Bugra to use his engineering degree to become an engineer and then get involved in this on the side
- Come back to this later if you still feel compelled to do so
