ALYSSA KLARMAN

  • Heard Vinnie’s podcast on Resume with Chris Laxamana
    • Tallulah (hey!) got Vinnie on the show
      • Vinnie couldn’t get on the show himself
      • Vinnie taught Tallulah the power of her
  • Alyssa started NSNG a few weeks ago from a strict 1280 calorie/day diet
  • She feels so much better now that she is no longer calorie in/calorie out
    • This is better at 125lbs than starving to get to 119lbs

IS RED WINE OR BEER WORSE?

  • Alyssa and her husband go out drinking with friends a few times a week
    • She has cut diet soda out of her diet!
  • She wants to know if the sugar of red wine, or the sugar/grains of beer is less “Life into Living”
    • Both are bad, but if it is truly occasional, it is okay
  • Best way to go is drinking distilled liquors

BEST ADVICE FOR WOMEN COMING OFF OF CALORIE IN/CALORIE OUT AND GAINING WEIGHT AS THEY START NSNG?

  • Women coming off of calorie in/calorie out will start eating lots of fat, and in turn, gain weight
    • It is hard not to freak out but gaining weight is normal after starving oneself
      • You must stay the course!
  • NSNG is not a quick fix, it is a paradigm shift
  • After the first couple of weeks, it starts getting better (getting past carbflu or ketoflu)
  • Some people need to snack more than others — if you need to, make sure it is in moderation and NSNG

WHEN ADJUSTING, SHOULD YOU AVOID SNACKING?

  • Coming off of eating unhealthy snacks, eat as much NSNG as you need
  • Because the carbs are generally not as filling, you may have to eat more at the beginning, and that is okay
  • It should start to self regulate after a few weeks

IS JICAMA OKAY?

  • Alyssa traded apples and strawberries for jicama
  • Jicama is good! Nothing but fiber :)
  • Vinnie is taking a harder line approach to fruit
    • Vinnie thinks that fruit is okay, but shouldn’t be a staple
      • Berries are the best!
