Starting Where You’re At

    • People tend to quit going to the gym after only two weeks or so after signing up.
    • They use excuses even though they feel better while exercising.
  • DOMS (delayed-onset muscle soreness) is another reason people stop. (10:00)
    • This feeling will happen less and less as you become more consistent and stronger.
  • Start where you are and work up—you don’t need to go hard right away. (15:00)
    • Don’t be intimidated by others and where they are in their journey.
  • You don’t have to go to a gym all the time. If you don’t have time for the gym, try some body-weight exercises. (22:30)
  • When to eat protein and how much? (32:00)
    • In general: 120-150g per day for average-height men, for average-height women, 85g-120g per day. (32:00)
    • It’s OK if you go a little over on some days.
    • Eating something in the morning boosts your metabolism. However, it doesn’t take much.

    • A lot of it is attitude, and your attitude can change.
