Staying In The Zone
- Vinnie shares a story about getting some differences in strength and fitness in different activities. (5:00)

- Zone 2 training can make a big difference.
- Zone 1 is up to 69% of your aerobic capacity. An example would be a light walk or gardening.
- Zone 2 is 70-79% of aerobic capacity.
- Zone 3 is 80-89% of aerobic capacity.
- Zone 4 is 90-100% aerobic capacity.
- Zone 2 is a favorite because it’s the range at which your body is still burning fat.
- HIIT training typically relies on sugar-burning.
- Calculate your Zone 2 by taking 180 – your age +/- 5 (depending on your activity level).
- If you are a sedentary person, subtract 5. If you are generally active, you can add the 5.
- Vinnie talks to a lot of obese people; however, they shouldn’t worry about Zone 2 just yet. Focus on getting yourself to just move and do what you can do. (28:00)
