Dairy Sensitivity & Cultivating Your Health – Episode 1752

Episode 1752 – On this Saturday show, Leona Jaeger joins Vinnie to talk her own health journey following the death of her father, the Facebook group, dairy sensitivity, Spartan Races and zone 2 training, fixing hearing loss, and more.

LEONA’S HEALTH JOURNEY

  • Leona transitioned into NSNG® slowly. 
    • When her father died, he had many health issues.
      • She wondered how many were genetic.
  • Initially, she had cut out processed food.
  • Then, she found Vinnie on the Carolla Show.
  • When she finally cut out most carbs, she found out not only did she lose some weight, but she felt way healthier too.
    • She had more energy, and didn’t feel as old as her similarly-aged peers.
    • One of the issues she worried about that her father also had was her loss of hearing.
      • However, 3-4 months in, she noticed she didn’t need it.
        • Maybe it was because of this way of eating, maybe it wasn’t, but it’s surely a good thing!
  • Leona consulted with Vinnie because she finally felt well enough to train for a Spartan Race.
    • For a long time, the weight on her ankle prevented her from doing this.
    • However, with this healthy lifestyle and zone 2 training, she got it done!
  • You have to want this for yourself for it to work.
    • But, once you want it badly enough, it will get easy and quickly.

DAIRY SENSITIVITY

  • Some people are more sensitive to dairy.
  • Leona dropped about 35 lbs before dropping dairy.
  • Then, she dropped the small amount of dairy she did eat a week.
    • She figured she’d lose a few pounds.
      • However, Leona ended up losing another 15 lbs for a total of 50 lbs!!!
  • Vinnie suggests for many people who plateau but are otherwise doing things right to limit or eliminate dairy.
    • Some people have dairy sensitivity, others don’t. Figure out what works for you!
