Upsides and Downsides
- Dr. Nadir Ali has been keeping a streak of riding his bike to work. (3:30)

- Some people have a fear of not getting back into it if they miss a day.
- Dr Nadir has a general rule that streaks can be beneficial as long as its not at the detriment of something else.

- He gives an example of how it affects the retina.
- One single benefit you can do is to get seed oils out of your diet.
- Seed oils are ubiquitous in restaurants and included in most packaged foods.
- Binge eating – what can people do to help themselves? (53:00)
- Nadir has been looking into the pleasure centers of the brain in order to understand binge eating.
- Dopamine is the driver for the craving or behavior—but it doesn’t really have much to do with the pleasure.
- In fact, as dopamine goes up, pleasure can actually decrease.
