SAUNA BENEFITS

  • Vinnie is a big sauna fan.
  • He wants to build one in his home!
  • This allows him privacy while he stretches–he likes to stretch in the sauna.
  • Infrared saunas have been cropping up.
    • Studies say they’re better for you.
    • Vinnie looked into it.
  • If you have a regular sauna, air heats up to whatever temperature you’d like.
    • It’s like an oven.
    • You sweat, you reap all the benefits.
  • Infrared saunas heat up you, not the air.
    • Vinnie doesn’t think this is a bad thing.
    • Maybe these can be smaller.
    • But it seems like it provides the same benefits as a normal sauna.

PROTEIN INTAKE

  • How does protein interact with muscle building?
  • You do need protein to build muscle.
  • The best form of protein is animal protein.
  • If you work out, you probably should eat more protein than if you don’t.
  • The Bro Science window is BS, though.
    • There isn’t some 30 minute period where you must eat protein for your muscles to start building.
      • They’ll build over 36 hours or so.
  • If you do intermittent fasting, you can still build muscle so long as you do eat protein when you eat.
    • You don’t need protein 24/7.
  • Vinnie typically fasts 16 hours of the day.
  • But, if you eat too much protein (which is a lot), your body will turn it into sugar.
    • So don’t go crazy.
