- Vinnie understands this as with his hearing deficit and speech impediment as a child, he was treated abusively by nuns and other children.

- We can learn a lot from our adversaries.
- Part of why he changed his name is because he is a writer–wanted to find a name that fit him and his writing best.
- Sometimes our demons teach us the most.
- Even if you’ve been through the worst, you can come out an amazing person.
- We can also learn from not reacting to reactive folks.
