NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTIONS

  • Happy New Year! This is the first Monday of the New Year — time to commit to your resolutions, no more excuses.
  • For Vinnie, resolutions are about giving up something or doing something positive for his health.
  • Vinnie’s resolution is to commit to a project.
    • He thought about building a Porsche, but now it’s looking like making a kayak.
      • He wants to be able to say “I made this.”
  • It was important for Vinnie to do something new for his resolution this year.
  • Anna loves the book called Your Best Year Yet to look for resolutions.
    • You write down your successes and triumphs as well as your failures, what went wrong, and what you learned from it from the previous year.
    • It helps you determine where your strengths and weaknesses are. 
      • Then, pick three paradigms. You might be able to work on patterns.
  • Make your resolution about your health, if you see fit!

BUILDING HABITS

  • Most resolutions end in January.
  • So, make sure your goal or resolution is attainable.
  • And understanding setting the goal or resolution is not enough on its own to establish a habit.
  • You can do this — make sure you’re really mentally committing for the whole year.
