LOWERING BLOOD PRESSURE

  • Jason found Vinnie through Adam Carolla
  • Lives in Utah and is a pharmacy tech – works with elderly people and medications
  • Found Vinnie when he was 6’4″ and 320 lbs
    • Now at 221 – has lost about 100 lbs
    • His goal weight is 205 lbs
      • He’s tall – doesn’t want to get too skinny
  • His doctor likes Jason’s weight loss but is skeptical about low carb high fat
    • Ultimately told him to keep doing what he’s doing because clearly it’s working
  • For Jason, the grain part was hard to wrap his head around
    • Continued to listen, and realized the science with hormones and whatnot, makes sense to him now
  • He has Type 2 Diabetes and amputations in his family – he knew this was something he wanted to avoid for himself and for his family
  • Put on blood pressure meds at age 27
    • His blood pressure is still high but it is lower
    • Will keep taking meds for now, but hopes to be off of them eventually
  • Jason has found the FB group to be like another family
