Vinnie starts the show talking about Justin Beiber and Kwanzaa. Anna and Vinnie then give a plug to a previous guest, writer Dean Lorey (author of the Nightmare Academy books, among others). That leads to the interview with Jess Perreca, who has been blogging since 2002. Jess started with Weight Watchers, which Vinnie predicted wouldn’t work long term. Starting off well, Jess says binge eating came back to haunt him. After losing about 60 pounds, he went “out of control” and began to gain weight again. Recognizing binge eating as a disorder, Jess has tried other ways to lose weight, including a life coach. “It’s going to be a lifelong learning process for myself,” Jess says. Anna later discusses the hunger and emotional side of a restrictive diet.
