LOWERING THE BAR

• Gina starts the show by asking Vinnie why Anna was mad, and the Tale of Two Pumpkins is born. (1:30)
  • Vinnie explains how it originated, and Gina (and Anna) is none too pleased. (5:00)
• The conversation then switches to additional information about sugar that Gina hadn’t realized. (5:50)
• She mentions what happens to your bowels when too much sugar is consumed, including fructose and both natural and artificial sweeteners. (6:30)
• Vinnie mentions how they are poison to the system, similar to how alcohol works; he explains. (8:00)
• Vinnie also tells Gina how the consumption of sugar since the 1800s has increased. (9:00)
  • They also chat about how this has led to more recent developments of NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease).
• He explains what A1C is, how it works, and how the numbers have ultimately been altered, which is basically lowering the bar.
  • He gives reasons why this doesn’t work, and how it allows for “stacking” medications.
