MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW

  • This show was quite heavy, especially for the 70s
  • Dealt with love, money, religion
  • There was a Jewish character that couldn’t do certain things because of her religion
  • MTM put her SO through something like Med School and then he dumped her

COLLEGE IS MORE THAN ACADEMICS

  • Vinnie learned a lot socially in college
  • Learned about religions, class, etc.
  • You get ready for the real world through interactions
  • Vinnie didn’t realize how real Antisemitism was until he went to a Catholic University that had a ton of Jewish students
  • College made him more culturally and religiously sensitive
