EVA RUPERT

  • She and Vinnie met through Ross and Kara – owners of the F Bomb product that both Vinnie and Eva love
  • Eva was a participant on Naked and Afraid
    • Spent three weeks naked, on national television
  • Dropped in the middle of nowhere with stuff to make a fire, and that’s about it
  • Film them basically to watch how they survive
    • A true survival test
  • The camera crew genuinely gives them nothing
    • Watching you starve and watching how you deal with this survival process
    • They were respectful about eating/drinking around the two adventurers
  • Didn’t get too uncomfortable with being naked in front of all of these people
    • Just felt primal
    • Crazy facing the elements in the nude
  • Learned lots of survival skills prior to going on the show – especially regarding living more primally
    • Now when we are in nature, we are like astronauts walking on the moon in our space suits
  • With a guy from Idaho in Madagascar – she has a knife, he has a fire starter
    • He had a good head on his shoulders
      • Down to earth and in it to make it to day 21
  • Checklist: shelter, fire, food
  • Started her interest in survival skills in her early 20s with rock climbing in a gym in NYC
    • Vinnie used to love rock climbing
  • Shows like this are so popular because they’re so foreign to people
    • But it’s weird that people would rather watch this on their couches than actually connecting with nature themselves
  • We should all be able to adapt outside of our comfort zones
