SELF-STARTING

  • Vinnie genuinely has no idea how the podcast and book have become so successful
  • Peter has his own methodology for self starting
    • You figure out what you’re good at, and you do it a lot
      • Vinnie is good at talking and being controversial, so this makes sense
  • You set up systems to avoid doing the things that get you off course
  • Peter wrote his last two books entirely on planes
    • Nobody can bother him on planes 

FASTER THAN NORMAL

  • Peter works to help folks unlock their brains and make them work faster
  • If you know the intricacies of your brain, you can use your brain faster and more effectively
  • ADD/ADHD can be used as a gift 
  • Peter believes that because he knows his brain very well and has studied his brain, he gets about 3 extra hours out of every day
  • Scheduling is important!
    • Having a running clock is the way to go
  • Especially for those with ADHD, a physical reset can be very important
    • For example, Vinnie shoots or does archery to reboot his brain 
    • Peter will do some pushups before he goes into a meeting
    • Get your adrenaline going a bit
