DAMIAN KEVITT
- On February 17, 2014, Damian and his wife were bike riding and he was hit by a minivan.
- It was a hit and run and he was dragged onto the 5 Freeway
- He managed to free himself but sustained devastating injuries.
- Miraculously did not sustain any head, spinal or internal injuries but he did lose his leg.
FINISH THE RIDE
- Out of this tragedy, Damian put together “Finish the Ride”
- 800 people showed up The purpose was to highlight pedestrian safety for pedestrians
- This year Finish the Ride is on April 19th and they expect several thousand people

- He did a race and then he went back to his old habits.
- Now he is 4 days into NSNG and needs advice
- Vinnie says it is not unusual to get really fit right before an event and then go back to even worse habits
WHAT ABOUT POTATOES AND OTHER FOODS TO AVOID
- At first it is good to stay away from foods that give you an insulin spike
- It’s different for everyone.
- A good rule is to stay away from processed sugars and processed grains
- Try to give up sugar and grains for 30-60 days
