  • For Kari, it’s about making running a part of life
  • She talks to people like herself…not as a coach, but to share her journey

CHICAGO MARATHON

  • Kari was always an athlete
  • Didn’t train and did a walk/run marathon…and she finished it
  • Had Serena Scott Thomas on the show prior to the marathon who gave her tips on Chi Running
  • It was a difficult race, but she remembered to lengthen and breath

WEIGHT WATCHERS

  • In 2001, Kari was living in Stockholm, Sweden
  • She had gained weight, at 5’2” she weighed 152 lbs
  • She found out her brother was getting married and wanted to lose weight
  • She went to Weight Watchers in Sweden in lost 15 pounds

BACK IN AMERICA

  • Kari continued with Weight Watchers and enjoyed the meetings
  • Switched over to being a facilitator of meetings and then became public relations contact for about 7 years
  • Kari found out about NSNG and it made sense…she no longer wanted to promote diet bars and shakes because it was processed food
  • Today she loves helping people make healthy choices
