WHAT IS KETOSIS

  • Ketosis is a state in which your body runs off of stored fat as opposed to sugar intake
    • Even when you are in ketosis, this doesn’t mean you can eat unlimited fat and still lose weight
  • KETOACIDOSIS is COMPLETELY different!
    • If you are in dietary ketosis, this has nothing to do with ketoacidosis
    • Causes of ketoacidosis: deep starvation, diabetes, liver disease (alcoholics)
      • This is incredibly dangerous
  • Ketosis is SAFE!
    • Vinnie is in dietary ketosis at all times
    • He does this to keep his cancer away
    • Fat adapted!
      • Your body can run on a little sugar or fat 
    • Still, ketosis isn’t for everyone
      • Do what works for you!
  • NSNG does NOT equal Ketosis
